We had a fabulous presentation from Amanda Randall in assembly this morning all about the Superstar Swifts project.

It was full of WOWs (swifts can travel up to 500 miles a day!), OWs (swift numbers are sadly declining), and NOWs (the Harbury Swift Village Project helping to protect them). It linked beautifully to our spirituality windows of WOW, OWS and NOWS, encouraging the children to be amazed by the world around them, reflect on challenges facing our environment, and think about how they can make a difference through Love in Action — actually doing something to help others and our world.

Your child will be bringing home a swift fact file tonight, which includes ideas for how families can help swifts locally. There is also a competition to write a SWIFT acrostic poem. If your child would like to take part, please return their poem to Harbury Library before 24th June
