‘This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, parents and volunteers to share this commitment.’
Dear Parents and Carers,
On behalf of all the children, staff, governors, parents and helpers, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Harbury CE Primary School.
I am very proud to have been the Head Teacher since September 2014. Being a one form entry primary school gives me the privilege of knowing every individual child in our care; this is very important to the way in which we work.
We have a talented and dedicated staff, friendly and welcoming children, a very proactive PTA and a wonderfully supportive community including close links with our local church, All Saints’. Being at the heart of the community is of great importance to us; we welcome the opportunity for this to work both ways – for us to make the most of the village facilities and to be available to support the community wherever possible.
We are a responsive school, constantly reviewing what we do to make sure it best fits the needs of our children; we are always looking for new ideas that will enhance the curriculum we offer here as we seek to equip our children for all aspects of their futures.
One of our main priorities is to ensure that we keep our children safe by working proactively in collaboration with children, their families and other agencies to share this collective responsibility. We believe this is key to children being ready to learn to the very best of their abilities – an ambition that we have for every child.
I hope that our website gives you all the information that you need. However, the best way to find out what we are all about is to come and see for yourself what our school looks like in action.
Please make an appointment to come and look around; you will be made very welcome.
I look forward to meeting you and working in partnership with you over the coming years.
